Summary: When Sam and Dean enter a tattoo parlor on Sam’s birthday Dean’s drawn to Castiel, the grumpy owner, and his twin brother Jimmy. Right away he learns that Cas and Jimmy are in an incestuous relationship and the adjustment period is surprisingly easy.
After Dean, Cas, and Jimmy get together Jimmy drops a bombshell - he wants to bring a couple of friends into their bed for a night. The problem? None of them know anyone they trust outside of Benny and Sam. And Jimmy really, really, really wants Sam to fuck him.
Teaser:
Cas and Jimmy close up shop and Dean can’t stop looking at them. The way Jimmy laughs and slides his hand up Cas’s arm is… interesting.
“Hey, Sammy,” Dean says, clapping him on the back. “Ready to hit up a bar? We could stop by your place first and -”
“Nah, I think I’m just gonna take a cab home.”
Dean frowns. “No way! It’s your birthday, dude. That’s not happening.”
“I know you wanna fuck around,” Sam says, voice low. “I’ll just get in your way.”
“It’s your birthday. I wanna hang out with you, Sammy. Yeah, the twins are hot, but I can just grab their number, no big deal.”
“Too bad,” Sam says, stepping away from him. “I really just need to leave. Okay? I need some space.”
“At least let me take you home. Do you really want people seeing you when you’ve got come in your underwear? C’mon, man. Don’t be like this.”
Sam gives him a dirty look. “Goodbye, Dean.”
Then he stalks off.
Fuck.
How could he have screwed the night up already? It wasn’t even midnight!
“Hey, Dean. Are you all right?” Jimmy asks as he sidles up to him. “Why’d Sam leave? Thought it was his birthday.”
Dean runs a hand over his face. “I don’t really wanna talk about it if that’s okay with you.”
Jimmy nods. “I understand. Um, I know this is weird, but would you like to hang out?”
Dean bites his lip and presses closer to Jimmy. “I know just the place.”
Twenty minutes later they pick a booth at Denny’s - Dean takes one side and the twins are on the other. Jimmy drapes an arm over Cas’s shoulders and Cas tries to shrug him off but Jimmy keeps touching him until Cas sighs, giving into his brother. Dean orders a bacon cheeseburger, Cas gets a sampler platter and Jimmy chooses the bacon lover’s blt.
“Shit. You might like bacon more than I do,” Dean says with a laugh.
“He’d live off of it if I let him,” Cas says, shaking his head.
“That’s because bacon is amazing,” Jimmy says, tone serious.
Cas shrugs. “I prefer steak. A nice filet mignon. Maybe a prime rib. Bacon is fine. I also feel as though this conversation is useless. How about we talk about the obvious?”
“Which is?”
“You want Jimmy.”
Dean chokes on his water then licks his lips. “Yeah, maybe I do. So what?”
“What if I want you, too?”
“Uh.” Dean rubs at the back of his neck. “That could get complicated, but I’m sure we could work something out.”
“Before this goes any further there’s something you should know.”
“Oh no,” Dean teases. “That’s not very reassuring. You’re not serial killers are you?”
Cas snorts. “Hardly.”
Jimmy glances around Denny’s to make sure no one is eavesdropping and lowers his voice. “We fuck.”
“Come again?” Dean asks, because he could not have heard that right.
“My brother likes to hold me down and fuck me until I scream,” Jimmy says with a heated look.
Cas reaches out and steals some of Dean’s fries, eyes darker than Jimmy’s. “Can you handle that, Dean? Or are we wasting our time?”
Competition and racing are nothing new to Castiel and Jimmy Novak. Since leaving behind college athletics and settling down into their professional lives, however, it’s gotten harder to scratch that competitive itch. Now Jimmy’s swimming skills and Cas’s running abilities have earned unexpected attention, and they’ve been pressured into creating a relay team for the “Escape from Alcatraz” triathlon. All they need is a cyclist who can keep up.
Dean insists he is not an athlete. He’s not about to back down from a challenge, though, so he’ll do whatever he has to do, as far outside his comfort zone as it may take him. Finding fast new best friends in the Novak twins should make that stretch easier for him, but instead, as he can’t help falling in love with not one, but both twins, things just keep getting a whole lot more complicated.
Teaser:
“So that’s about two miles, halfway around the loop,” Cas said. “Not bad at all. Now, tell me something, Dean. If you were on your bike, and you were looking at that…” he gestured to the trail ahead of them. “What would you do?”
Dean crossed in front of Cas and looked down. They had apparently reached the top of the hill; in front of them was a much steeper descent than the gradual trail they’d ascended. It was rocky, and the dirt path twisted and turned sharply around the small obstacles all the way to the bottom.
“Well,” he said slowly, “main rule of downhill cycling is ‘don’t do anything sudden.’ Keep your eyes well ahead of where you are, and don’t panic and hit the brakes. You’ll kill yourself trying to stop, so once you’re in, commit.”
“Good,” Cas said, smiling. “Same goes for running downhill. Stay loose, stay light, and don’t try to dig in your heels and slow down. I’ll go, then Jimmy. Give us a good head start, just in case somebody falls.” And with that, he took off, bombing down the slope. Dean’s jaw dropped slightly, watching; rather than looking clumsy, Cas seemed to float from ridge to ridge, occasionally using flat rocks as springboards to propel himself forward. He made the treacherous run look effortless, arms loosely held out for balance.
“Fuckin’ beautiful, isn’t he?” Jimmy said quietly. He was smiling fondly, shaking his head; the words were so close to what he’d been thinking himself, they caught Dean off guard, and he couldn’t help staring. With a quick inhale and a wordless shout like a war cry, Jimmy plunged after Cas. He lacked the runner’s grace of his brother, but he made up for it in sheer exuberance, barreling forward with abandon. Dean half expected to see him trip at any moment, but core strength and luck seemed sufficient to keep him upright and moving.
Watching the twins tear down the hill, Dean couldn’t stop laughing, full of vicarious pleasure. The message was clear, watching them go: no second-guessing, no time for doubt. That wasn’t always an easy step for Dean, but when it felt right…he took a deep breath, blew it out, and committed.

Summary: Life was good for Jimmy and Cas Novak. They had successful careers, good friends, and a relationship that, while unconventional and hidden from public view, was almost entirely perfect. And they thought the same was true for their best friend, Dean. A late night phone call makes it startlingly clear that was not the case. After nearly losing Dean to suicide, all three began to reevaluate exactly what they wanted in life – and who they want that life with.
Excerpt:
Jimmy groaned when Castiel’s phone rang, a tinny version of Ramble On alerting them that it was Dean calling. “Leave it.”
“It’s Dean,” Cas said shortly, as if it were self-explanatory. He stretched to reach his phone from where they lay, while continuing to touch as much of Jimmy as possible.
“Yeah, well, he didn’t want to hang out earlier. Ain’t gonna happen in the middle of the night.”
Jimmy knew he sounded petulant, but he couldn’t help it. Dean Winchester was the Novak twins’ best friend. For the past several years, they’d done everything together.
Well, maybe not everything, he thought as he tilted his face out from the pillow to watch his brother’s muscled torso flex in the dim light. Not that Jimmy would mind opening their friendship up to more. He was pretty sure that Castiel would be into it too; their emotional connection with Dean (both separately and as a unit) was deeper than anything they had shared with anyone except each other.
Castiel managed to grab the phone. Jimmy, still buoyed on a wave of endorphins, tangled his hands with Castiel’s to make it more difficult to answer.
Castiel batted his hand away, laughing in spite of himself. He brushed a quick kiss across JImmy’s lips before answering.
“Hello, Dean.”
Jimmy made another grab for the phone, and Castiel pushed himself up to sitting to get the phone out of Jimmy’s reach. “Dean?” he repeated. Jimmy settled for lazily running his fingers along his brother’s spine.
“Dean? Are you there?” Castiel’s brow furrowed in consternation.
Jimmy looked up questioningly, and Castiel shrugged. “Butt dial?” Jimmy suggested, rolling over to rest his head on Castiel’s thigh. Cassie should just hang up, he thought, and let them get back to the afterglow.
Castiel put the phone on speaker and held it between them. They could hear soft sounds of movement, some uneven breaths. Jimmy glared at the phone. “He’d better not have ditched us for a booty call, and then butt-dialed us during it!”
Castiel frowned at him. Jimmy tended to be a little possessive of Dean, preferring not to be reminded of their friend’s conquests. It made him more than a little brusque.
“Should I hang up?”
“Well, I definitely don’t want to hear it!” Jimmy scoffed.
Castiel moved his thumb over the disconnect button just as Dean’s slurred voice came through the speaker.
“Cas?”
“I’m here, Dean.”
More breathing and the dragging sound of the phone being shifted. Jimmy sat up, exchanging worried looks with Castiel. Something was wrong. He had heard Dean drunk, high, even beaten up that one time, but this was different.
“Dean, please talk to me.”
Dean’s voice was quiet and shaky. “I think I … I was wrong, Cas. m'sorry.”
“What do you mean? What’s going on?”
“Sorry, Cas … you gotta tell Jimmy, Sam, ‘kay? Tell ‘em, sorry.”
“Dean, whatever it is, we can help fix it. Where are you?”
“Cassie?” Jimmy whispered when there was no reply.

“I’m serious, if you can’t pop the hood and fix it yourself without needing a degree in Computer Science then what the hell’s the point? The whole thing’s a conspiracy to make sure people keep buying new cars.” Dean said with a way too animated wave of his hand that nearly caught Castiel in the face.
“Huh, is it really that easy to fix older cars? I figured that since most newer ones just have to be hooked up to a computer to find out what’s wrong that it’d be easier. I mean, that’s what computers do.” Kevin said with a contemplative look.
“Oh yeah man, I mean one look under the hood of a classic and you’ll get it. It’s a different world. Sure you gotta know a little bit but nothing that a little reading and a lot of trial and error won’t get you. But the rest? It’s just… natural… intuitive… you just gotta get to know her and feel it out… listen to her respond.” Dean said with an almost glazed look.
“Dean are you talking about cars or sex?” Castiel’s gravelly voice asked next to him and Dean flushed bright red.
The table was quiet for a beat before every single person save Dean and Castiel burst out laughing. Charlie, the cute little redhead who was wearing a Harry Potter tie pin in defiance of the dress code, gave Dean a playful shove that broke him out of his embarrassment and had him chuckling along with them.
“But seriously man, come with me after school and I’ll let you take a peek under my Baby’s hood… promise she won’t mind.” Dean said with a wink that fed into the joke.
Kevin grimaced as he spoke, “Oh, I’d love to but I gotta catch the bus.”
Guess even when the buses were high end it still sucked to have to ride one.
“Poor little Kev won’t be able to get his license for another year and Mommy and Daddy won’t let him take the limo… say riding the bus builds character.” Balthazar said and slung arm around Kevin’s shoulder, pulled him into a headlock and ruffled his hair.
Dean didn’t miss the way Kevin’s cheeks flooded with color or the way he pulled away with a laugh that wasn’t entirely convincing.
“Hey man, I can give you a ride home if you want. If you don’t mind stopping to pick up my little brother.” Dean said as he shoved the last bite of his not entirely awful burger into his mouth.
A dainty hand slid down Dean’s shoulder to rest on his chest and he almost choked when an impressive set of tits pressed into the back of his neck.
“I’d love a ride Dean.” A feminine voice purred in his ear.
“You have your own car, Bela.” Castiel deadpanned from Dean’s side.
Only… was that a note of… possessiveness Dean detected under that careful neutrality? Also, when the hell had Bela vacated her seat. Dean must’ve been really caught up in the conversation.
“Maybe I wasn’t talking about a ride in his car, Castiel. Fresh meat looks like he’d be killer in the sack. Sounds like it too if he fucks as well as he takes care of his car.” Bela said as her hand dipped down lower, brushed just below Dean’s navel and caused an involuntary twitch in his pants.
The movement stopped abruptly and Dean looked down. Castiel’s fingers tightly gripped Bela’s wrist. Interestingly enough just the sight of Castiel’s handnear Dean’s crotch made his dick jerk even harder.
“Lunch is over, Bela. Time to go to class now.” Castiel said just as neutrally as before.
Bela yanked her hand away and straightened. Dean glanced around and saw the rest of the table were gathering their things and getting up.
“I’ll see you last period, Dean.” Castiel said before he headed off with Charlie and Jo.
Slightly puzzled, Dean dumped his tray and trailed behind Balthazar and Bela, who spoke to each other in hushed tones.

Summary: Dean was pissed when Dad landed another new job in another new town that came with a tuition waiver for him and Sam. Just what Dean needed for his last five months of high school school, being surrounded by a bunch of spoiled rich kids he’d have basically nothing in common with. Don’t even get him started on the fact he had to wear a shitty school uniform.
When Dean walked into Chemistry on his first day, the last thing he expected was to find himself partnered up with basically the hottest guy he’d ever seen in real life; Castiel Novak. It was way too easy to like Castiel, and Dean was surprised by how quickly he got attached to him.
There was just one little kink he hadn’t seen coming: Castiel’s MIA lab-partner was his twin brother Jimmy. Doesn’t seem that bad? Did he mention the whole damn school knew they were together. Yeah, together, together. Which pretty much meant Dean was fucked, and not even remotely in the way he wanted.

I'm willing to help pinch hit for your missing artist
Thank you so much for the offer of assistance to create art for the author who lost their artist. We apologize for not recognizing you sooner. We were all touched that you offered to help out.
Is the story already written? (becuase if so I definitely think I could draw something for it!) Anything to help you guys out!
We here at the DCJ Big Bang want to thank you for your offer of creating art for the story that ended up losing their artist. We apologize that it took us so long to send our gratitude to you. Seriously though, @prayforjensen you are amazing for answering the call for help. We really appreciate it.
DCJ Shippers, go send them some love for their offer!
Hi,this is about needing an artist,I am not really into Destial at all but feel bad for someone not getting art for a bang fic.I mostly do photo manips and could do a cover art and pic spam if needed. I have done art for ships I'm not into and even never heard of before ,if the author doesn't have a problem with that.Obviously if you find someone who is into it more they would be best but if you need it I am volunteering.
We forgot to thank you for volunteering your time and talent to this cause even though we did not utilize it. Truly it touched all of us mods deeply to know that there are artists out there that are willing to do art for ships that they don’t ship simply because they wish the author of a bang to be able to have art. We are sorry that we didn’t do this sooner but you are awesome for offering this. Thank you once more. I am posting this publicly because I want everyone to know what a considerate person @stormbrite is.
If you are a dcj fan, maybe show them a little love for the offer.
Summary:Dean’s crushing hardcore on his friend Cas. He doesn’t know him all that well yet since they only met at the beginning of the semester just a few weeks earlier, but seeing Cas in classes four days a week was bound to affect him eventually. He’s smart and goofy and charismatic, but somehow also serious and occasionally socially clueless, he’s athletic and has the body to prove it, and on top of all that, he’s fucking gorgeous with the bluest eyes Dean has ever seen. Sometimes he forgets to comb his wavy chestnut hair and he comes to class looking like an absolute sex god that just rolled out of bed after giving some lucky son of a bitch multiple mindblowing orgasms. In other words, he’s a total catch and way way too good for Dean. Dean is resolved to suffer his crush in silence until it goes away. Only it doesn’t, of course, because when is Dean Winchester’s life ever easy or simple? That’s when he finds out the person he thought was Cas is actually two people—identical twins. When the twins realize Dean’s blunder, they decide to have a little fun. They refuse to reveal the other twin’s name until Dean earns the right to know it. Which essentially means Dean’s stuck doing their bidding until they decide to have mercy on him. Dean is fucked. And the worst part? Some sick part of him is enjoying the hell out of the whole situation.
Teaser:
Dean followed Cas out of the lecture hall when Shurley finally dismissed them. They made perfectly safe small talk about the midterm coming up, wondering how they’d ever manage to remember all the scientific names for the different hominins that evolved into Homo sapiens. In chronological order no less. If it hadn’t been such an interesting class, Dean would have regretted taking it to meet his social sciences requirement. “It is a lot of names to remember,” Cas said. Maybe we can study together this weekend? Review and then quiz each other?” “Yeah, okay.” Dean tried to control the blush he felt spreading over his cheeks. Calm down, Winchester, it’s not a date, it’s studying. “Bobby usually gives me extra time off before midterms and finals. So I can study. Says school’s important and I’m a ‘damn idjit’ if I think he’s gonna let me put fixin’ cars over learning.” Dean’s phone blared out the chorus of “Walking on Sunshine”, Charlie’s ringtone, interrupting them and cutting off his rambling. “Uh, I gotta get this,” he said, pulling his phone out of his pocket and hitting the button to silence it. He was about to say goodbye to Cas and answer Charlie’s call when he saw a familiar dark haired guy walking towards him and Cas. He frowned, blinking a few times as his steps slowed. Cas looked back at him, slowing his steps to match Dean’s. “Dean?” “Uh,” Dean said, staring at the Cas look-alike walking towards them. As if his mind hadn’t already been far enough off the rails about Cas and all the things Dean would love to do to his gorgeous body, there had to be a Cas look-alike? Visions of dark-haired, blue-eyed Doublemint twins danced in his head. “Dude, I think you have a doppelganger.” Cas laughed, glancing at his double walking towards them. “Yeah, Dean, that’s Cas. My twin?” Dean stopped walking. “Twin?” Cas—the first Cas—stopped once he noticed Dean wasn’t following him. The second Cas walked up with a squint on his face, pulling a notebook out of his messenger bag and handing it to the first Cas. Both kept their eyes on Dean. The first Cas took the notebook from Cas number two, frowning at Dean. “Are you okay?” “I uh,” Dean started, eyes darting back and forth between the two versions of Cas. There was the Cas he’d just had class with, in his nerdy t-shirt with his hair neatly combed, and then there was another Cas with the same dark hair but not anywhere near neat, strands sticking out seemingly at random like he’d just rolled out of bed. They both had the piercing blue eyes though; Dean could see that as one frowned at him and the other squinted. “You have an identical twin?”

Jimmy Novak was born six minutes before his twin brother Castiel.
Even though the age difference is insignificant Jimmy has always took pride in being a big brother.
It’s a known fact among older siblings that sharing is always bestowed upon them, and it’s very hard to do.
Jimmy on the other hand is pretty much use to the idea of sharing and doesn’t mind it at all.
He loves his brother and would do anything to make him happy, even if that means putting Castiel before himself.
He shares his toys, Halloween candy, parent’s attention, and even his food.
So it didn’t come as much of a shock to him that when he turned the ripe age of sixteen and woke up with his soul mate tattoo, he would have to share.
Teaser:
The car ride is short but unbearable. Castiel continues his fidgeting. “Are you going to kill me or something? I’m going to let you know I’m a black belt in tae kwon do.”
Dean just laughs at the crazy assumption as the car drifts over a dirt road, flinging rocks up that hit the back tires and bumper. The trees open up to a clearing and in the distance sits a bridge that looks ancient. It creaks and groans under the Impala’s weight, but otherwise seems steady. .. “This is my favorite place to go when I need time to think. I felt you would like it too.”
Castiel stills in the seat and looks out the window at the blue water down below. “No one comes near this bridge anymore since they built the one across town. Cool, huh?”
Halfway across, Dean cuts the car off and gets out. Castiel gets out of the car and takes in his surroundings. There are a flock of gulls flying above the water that makes the whole scene breathtaking. There are a few boats on the water in the distance. Trees line the river and sand makes up a portion of the river bank. They’re up fairly high and Castiel takes a stone and throws it off the bridge. After a few seconds it hits the water with a loud clonk. Dean watches as Cas trudges back and forth on the bridge amazed at everything. Dean walks up to him and places a hand on his shoulder. “It’s peaceful here. You know the old expression, ‘If your friend jumps off a bridge would you jump too?’”
Castiel turns his focus back on Dean. “Yeah, what does that have to do with anything?”
Dean looks out at the vast amount of water. The bridge is high, but the water down below looks refreshing. Dean licks his lips generously as he watches a fish jump up from the water. “I use to laugh at that saying, especially when my mom would say it. I would cut up in high school with my friends and get in trouble a lot. She’d get so pissed and chew me out for it.” Dean dangles a single leg over the bridges edge, and then pulls it back quickly.
“Now that I’m older, I know what she meant. This whole situation we’re in is crazy, you know? Jimmy is just different. He took to it like it wasn’t. He just dove straight in and hasn’t thought about anything. Personally, I have doubts, and I know you do too. But I want so badly to be like Jimmy. I just want to dive into it without any second thoughts. And I want you to come with me. If I jump, would you jump too?”
Castiel stutters as he tries to think of something to say. “Dean, I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”

Summary:College AU where Castiel and Jimmy are roommates and suddenly Dean is moving in. Jimmy doesn’t handle this very well and so he and Dean are at odd’s ends for a while, especially since Jimmy thinks he won’t be able to be with Castiel. Cas makes sure to let Jimmy know this isn’t the case, and convinces Dean to leave on weekends to give them some alone time. Cas and Dean form their own friendship, getting closer until Dean finally makes a move. Now Castiel is torn between admitting to liking Dean and hiding the relationship from his brother who still isn’t Dean’s number 1 fan. Can Castiel get Jimmy over his grudges against Dean so they can all be together? Shouldn’t be too difficult to persuade them both…unfortunately just as Castiel is starting to make headway on his brother and his boyfriend Dean walks in on them being…well, indisposed. How will they recover from their secret getting revealed too quickly?
Teaser:
“Please, Cas…” Jimmy blushed, unable to look at his brother. “I need you to fuck me.” His voice came out as a whisper, but that was all Castiel needed to hear before he was ripping Jimmy’s shirt off. He started by grabbing both of Jimmy’s wrists and placing them over Jimmy’s head on the mattress.
“These don’t move, got it?”
Jimmy nodded in reply, clearly eager to please his brother. “Yes, sir.” Castiel grinned at this and promptly bent down and started placing wet, sloppy kisses down Jimmy’s torso, stopping at his navel and swirling his tongue around inside. Jimmy started squirming at Castiel’s ministrations, and his hands started reaching for his brother’s hair. This was promptly reprimanded with a slap to the stomach.
“Ah!” Jimmy yelped at the sudden, unexpected contact. Castiel let up kissing his brother for a moment to reply. “I told you not to move your hands, Jimmy,” and just as quickly he started back at Jimmy’s abdomen, kisses trailing further south until he reached the line of Jimmy’s pants.
Just as Castiel started undoing Jimmy’s button to remove his pants so he could continue torturing his brother with kisses, a loud series of knocks was heard from the door of their dorm room. Castiel quickly redid Jimmy’s pants, a frown now evident on his face from the interruption. Jimmy let out an almost pathetic whimper when Castiel started to get up, and the noise nearly broke Castiel’s heart in two. He swooped down to place a kiss on Jimmy’s lips before whispering in his ear.
“We will finish this later, Jimmy. Please put your shirt back on.” It was a command, though a heartfelt one, and Jimmy was putting his shirt on quickly as Castiel made his way over to the door. Castiel did his best to adjust his jeans and make sure his hard on wasn’t noticed by whoever it was at the door. When Castiel opened the door, a tall, brown haired, green eyed man was standing outside of it with a few trash bags full of belongings trailed behind him.
Castiel stood silent, giving the stranger a once over before choosing to speak. The stranger opened his mouth a few times, but words never exited.

Summary:
When Henry Winchester started the apocalypse by sacrificing himself to save his son’s life, he had no notion of what his action would bring about.
If he had known, he wouldn’t have imagined that heaven would lose.
Now, in 2017, Henry’s grandsons; Sam and Dean, are struggling to survive in a world where Lucifer walks the Earth, demons and the rabid victims of the Croatoan virus destroy everything in their path, and angels are selfish, scared and frightened.
It’s been eight years. Eight years since Dean, Sam and the others came together to form Camp Salvage. Eight years of hunting and fighting, of protecting the men, women and children who look up to them, and Dean is tired. He’s tired of being responsible for so many people. But there isn’t an end in sight. The Devil toys with the planet, and they don’t have long to go until the Croats kill them; one by one until there is no one left.
Dean is done. He’s had enough of fighting losing odds.
That is, until they hear word of an angel. The first since the guardian angel who let their grandfather die.
Dean puts his game face on once more, leading a team in search of answers, or help, or simply retribution.
What they find, instead, sends them into a tailspin that can only end two ways; wholesale destruction, the final, true end of all things, or the longest of shots; they win.
With some unexpected tactical advantages—a pair of vessels, mysterious creatures only a few can see, and a rogue god on their side—maybe Dean finally stands a chance: not just to survive, but to find a reason to want to.
Teaser:
Sam swore. The ground began to shake, the buildings across the intersection of the wide road, where the rest of his men still stood, partly hidden, began to shift and quake. “Stop!” he yelled, knowing it would be pointless. An archangel’s power was beyond anything they even vaguely knew how to fight.
The angel sneered as the ground gave one final twitch, sending a broken wall crashing down, ejecting a screaming, bleeding hunter who stumbled directly into the burning wall of Holy Oil.
Horror froze Sam as he watched the twitching, writhing body impaled on a tongue of flame, unable to pull himself free.
He watched as the burning circle was broken.
He watched as the rest of the man’s team flew from their hiding places to try and save their comrade, too late.
He watched as one of them pulled a gun, and pressed it, with compassion, to the man’s forehead and stopped the screams.
He watched as the archangel wheezed another laugh, glassy eyes pulled wide, and made to zap himself from the scene.
He watched with joint surprise, fascination, and nausea, as the vessel’s eyes widened even further, saw the angel throw the body he wore, a lurching, abortive movement upward, and failed to disappear.
He watched with rising wonder as the angel’s body remained stationary, bound to Earth, unable to move, to fly. The angel’s borrowed face morphed into an expression of terror, eyes now impossibly wide, blood vessels bursting as he strained and pushed and finally-
Gave up.
Sam threw himself to the ground, eyes screwed shut against the blinding white light as the archangel threw himself, his true form, from the vessel. The stuff of his being, Grace, pure power and energy, flowing away, up.
Sam could see the Grace escape upward, even through the skin of his closed eyelids, clearly able to escape the circle.
Silence fell as the burning blue-white light of Raphael’s Grace left, leaving in its wake only the harsh sounds of Sam’s own breath rasping in his throat and the too-fast thump of his heart in his chest.
A dry cough, painful and gasping, broke the illusion that he was alone.
Sam dragged his eyes open, still fearful of seeing the angel’s true form, burning and terrible. He had enough learning, had seen enough corpses, to know that his eyes would be left mere fluid running down his cheeks if he had set his eyes on it. Instead, his eyes showed him the world, just as before, little changed, only now, the red streaked after-images of a celestial being danced across his vision.
He glared at the road’s cold and dusty surface, blinking hard.
“Well. That was different,” stated a new voice, flat and tired sounding, deep and rough. Familiar.
He looked up and set eyes upon the vessel.
He was alive.
Hunched over, coughing dust, blood where his eyes were meant to be, but alive.

Summary: People are disappearing into a forest outside a small town in northern Michigan, and they aren’t coming back out. When Sam and Dean question the locals, they’re told all kinds of tales about the different fae folk who live in the woods, and nearly all of them could be responsible. In the end, they have no choice but to go into the forest themselves. The trees speak. Pixies giggle at them from sunbeams and mutated fae attack without warning, and the forest won’t let them leave. The only safe place is the home of a pair of witch twins who save them from a kelpie, but even their protections might not be enough to keep the forest out. Teaser:
“Fuck,” Dean hissed. He swung his legs out of bed, leaving a hand he hadn’t even realized was there over Sam’s ankle to keep him from waking. Jimmy sitting up, staring out towards the window even though it was too dark to see the rain… or maybe he was looking at the door being eased open by Castiel before he darted out into the storm. Dean blinked. No. No way. He had to be dreaming. Stumbling to his feet, Dean threw on his coat and shoved his gun into his jeans, patting down a pocket to make sure the iron chain was there. Jimmy was standing as well, moving towards the door with a grin on his face. A clap of thunder roared right overhead—lightning immediately followed. Dean glanced at Sam, but he was still fast asleep. The two stopped in the doorway, each with a hand on the opposite side of the wood. Castiel was already gone, no trace of him in the rain-streaked dark. Dean considered. He bit his lip, let a shiver of fear roll down his spine, and thought fuck it. “So, if you’re the creative one,” Dean murmured. “What’s Cas?” Rain lashed against the doorway. The wind groaned as it battered the walls, slipping inside to whip the fire into a bright, curling fury. Sam snuffled into his pillow, hands groping for the blanket and pulling it over his head. He should close the door, Sammy was cold… but Dean’s hands only twitched at his sides, eyes wandering out into the dark. He glanced to his left. Jimmy was staring out into the rain, lips parted and eyes wide. “He’s the wild one,” Jimmy whispered.
